-START OF THE DAY-
40 ping pong balls, 3 wire sculptures were submitted! Now we had to show the 5 permutation we had drawn to the different lecturers, opinions were given as to how to improve on these permutations. After we had chosen the most suitable one out of the 5 permutation, we had to make complete them using the wires. We had to also draw the outline of final sculpture out in 4 different views.

-START OF THE DAY-

It’s drawing time! First of all, what we did for today’s drawing lesson was pretty interesting. Before lesson started, I was wondering what are we suppose to do with the acrylic sheet which we are told to bring.

So what we had to do was to find a partner and draw their faces on to the acrylic. So how is it being done? First, we had to sit roughly about 30 cm away from the partner we had chosen and then sketch their face on the first acrylic sheet. It was indeed a tough activity as we had to really concentrate and hold the acrylic upright. We had to also control the black marker well in order not to draw out of line when the acrylic sheet is being held upright which makes it even tougher to draw on it.

The first sheet is done! Let’s move on the Second acrylic sheet. It’s even tougher than the first activity as this time round, we had to sit 2m away from our partner and sketch their image out. This time round we had to sketch their whole figure out and an additional of the scenery or objects around them. Every details count, we had to really draw every single detail out. What’s tough was that we had to really hold the acrylic sheet well to prevent them from moving here and there, if not it wouldn’t be accurate anymore.

-BACK FROM LUNCH-
We had to make a sphere, cube and pyramid out of wires. After so, we are told to sketch out five permutations on how to combine the three shapes together.

-START OF THE DAY-
Our works we accepted this time round after redoing. This time round much effort can be seen the works done by everyone, so we can proceed to the next activity which is transferring these 20 pictures we had drawn or painted onto the PingPong balls. This is really a challenging activity for me as drawing and painting on pingpongs was not an easy task for me. We had to really focus and draw every detail carefully as the surface of the PingPong balls was v small which make it even more difficult to draw.
I managed to complete a couple of pingpongs balls in school and the rest was done at home. I used quite a long time to complete all 20 balls as it was really tedious to paint little details drawn on the Pingpongs Balls as i had to really control the paint brush well in order not to paint it out of line.

-START OF THE DAY-
We pinned up the works we had done on to the board. After the lecturers had look through our works, they asked us to redo our work as it seems like we had not put in a lot of efforts in doing this particular assignment. I felt that it's quite true as we can see that some seems like they did not really put in much time in doing it. I felt that there's was not much thought put in it while drawing my 20 pictures.

-START OF THE DAY-
Today's drawing lesson, we are told to bring a fruit or vegetable, i bought a capsicum as i find the appearance nice.
We have to draw out the fruit or vegetables we bought in different perspectives and the small details of it. I used different medium to shade the capsium like the black markers, colour pencils and lastly, shading pencils, reason being that i wanted to see how different medium can bring out the shades of the object.

-BACK FROM LUNCH-
We had to present our favourite toy to everyone in the class. I bought an eeyore which had been with me for about 6 years. It's my first toy that i bought using my own pocket money as a birthday gift to myself. I always love eeyore as it is adorable. He had a character which is rather similar to me.
Everyone brought out their own unique toys, some are really interesting.
After that, we had given a worksheet and we had to also list down the 4 emotions we had. I had listed down Angry, Sad, Confused and Happy. We had given 5 different themes: Objects, Patterns, Colours, Materials and Icons. We have to create 20 pictures that represents these themes.

-START OF THE DAY -
Today is the submission of my blossom brickboy. It was sort of my first 3D assignment, though it's quite a tedious and challenging one, but after all, i did enjoy myself. During the making of the Brickboy, i faced lots of challenges like the cutting out of templates and sticking them together to make it a sort of 3D cuboid shape, but after trying to fix there in every way for quite some time, i finally found the right way to fix them together.
After so, i drew out the blossom on the brickboy i made and painted it with Acrylic paint.
We had to present our brickboy to the whole class. It was a really scary experience for me as it was the first time i'm talking in front of the whole class. I stumbled my words quite a lot, but this presentation somehow did boosted my confidence a little to talk in front of so many people.
What i have learnt in this assignment is :
  • The quality of work depends on the workmanship. ( i feel that my workmanship had to improve quite a lot as my brickboy was not well-coloured with white patches here and there.

-START OF THE DAY-
Before the making of my adorable powerpuff girl, blossom, we have to draw a draft to show how we are going to combine the different parts of together to make this brickboy. This really helped us in starting the whole assignment. At first, i have no idea on how to place the parts together, but after drawing out the draft, I had some knowledge or concept on how i'm going to part them together.

-START OF THE FIRST DAY-
It's my first day of school, it was a pretty good start. What we have to do for the first drawing lesson was to draw anything that we could in the studio. We have to observe the particular object we had chosen in different views and perspective and also the small details of the object too. This particular activity's purpose was kind of letting us observe about the things around us and the drawings of 3D stuffs.

-BACK FROM LUNCH-
We began transferring the brickboy template given by the lecturers to a piece of drawing block. For me, it's quite a tedious job to do as we have to measure everything part of the pieces on the template so as to draw it accurately. After drawing for awhile, i began to think is there any ways that i could transfer the whole thing faster and less tedious. Here i got it ! haha! i used the sort of tracing paper method. It's indeed a faster and more effective way to do.
We have to cut the template pieces out and make it into a small little brickboy which i find it really adorable. ahaha!
Though it's tedious, but afterall, i find this activity quite interesting as we get to make 3D object. I'm a first timer in doing 3D stuffs.
I thought this assignment will end just like that, but it's not all of it. We have to go back home and draw out the template again, but this time round, it's double the original size. It's even more tedious than the previous one as i have to measure and doubled every measurements. We had to choose a cartoon character as our brickboy's character, so i had chosen Blossom from the powerpuff girls.
